Program at a Glance

Island View is a residential treatment center for teens ages 13 to 17 that focuses on helping students determine their strengths, abandon self-defeating behaviors, and understand their unique issues and gifts. Since 1994, Island View has provided clinically sophisticated guidance and support to teens that combines an accredited academic program with intensive therapy, recreational activities and onsite psychiatric services.

About Island View

Island View, a co-ed residential treatment center for teens, provides intensive therapy, a private academic program, a wide array of recreational activities and onsite psychiatric services to teens struggling with depression and other issues. Through their experience at Island View, teens learn to better identify and cope with what is bothering them.

The clinical services provided by our professional staff are core elements of treatment for each resident at Island View. A carefully selected group of professionals with master's or doctoral degrees provides individual, group and family therapy. Recognizing that each resident is unique, Island View customizes an individual treatment plan for each youth. These treatment elements help residents develop communication and relationship skills, strengthen personal identity, and foster pro-social attitudes and behaviors.

Island View operates its own on-campus, fully accredited private school to help students continue their education and pursue a high school diploma. In small classes with excellent teacher-to-student ratios, our certified teachers demonstrate an impressive ability to "re-ignite" residents to the experience of learning.
